  • The Garden Border: Features a dense, vibrant border of geometric floral patterns and circular scrolls.

  • Cypress Tree (Saru): Above the floral border sits a row of deep red Cypress Tree motifs, symbolizing resilience and eternal life.

  • Jewel Tone Accents: The pattern is brought to life with a "garden" of multi-colored centers in turquoise, orange, forest green, pink, and yellow.

  • Scattered Motifs: Small, minimalist red geometric stars are delicately placed across the black fabric.

  • Fringe: Finished with fine, looped black silk tassels for a clean and elegant drape.

This item is directly sourced from Palestinian women artisans in Dheisheh Refugee Camp - Bethlehem, Palestine, ensuring your purchase supports local craftsmanship and keeps traditional embroidery alive for future generations.

To preserve the beauty and intricate hand-embroidery of your scarf, we recommend the following care:

  • Hand Wash Only: Gently hand wash in cold or lukewarm water using a mild, pH-neutral detergent or silk/wool soap. Avoid harsh chemicals or bleach.

  • Do Not Soak: To prevent color bleeding (especially with deep reds or greens), avoid leaving the scarf submerged in water for more than a few minutes.

  • Handle with Care: Do not wring, scrub, or twist the fabric. Instead, gently press the water out by laying the scarf flat between two clean towels and rolling them up.

  • Air Dry: Lay the scarf flat on a drying rack away from direct sunlight, which can fade the embroidery threads over time.

  • Ironing: If needed, iron on the reverse side (the back of the embroidery) using a low-to-medium heat setting. Placing a thin cotton cloth between the iron and the scarf is recommended to protect the stitches.

  • Storage: Store your scarf in a cool, dry place. We recommend folding it neatly rather than hanging it to maintain its shape.
