Wild Rose Border: Features a continuous, vibrant border of blooming Wild Roses, a motif celebrating the natural beauty of the Palestinian landscape.
Intricate Vine Work: The roses are interconnected by winding lime green vines and small leaf accents, creating a sense of movement along the edge.
Scattered Accents: The sheer body of the scarf is punctuated with small, geometric cross-stitch motifs in bright crimson.
Delicate Chiffon: Crafted from a lightweight, transparent black chiffon that drapes elegantly and allows the embroidery colours to pop.
Fringe: Finished with fine, knotted black silk tassels that complement the airy nature of the fabric.
This item is directly sourced from Palestinian women artisans in Dheisheh Refugee Camp - Bethlehem, Palestine, ensuring your purchase supports local craftsmanship and keeps traditional embroidery alive for future generations.
To preserve the beauty of your hand-embroidered piece, we recommend the following:
Hand Wash Only: Gently hand wash in cold water using a mild, pH-neutral detergent.
Do Not Soak: To prevent color bleeding from the vibrant embroidery threads, do not leave the scarf submerged for long periods.
Handle with Care (Especially Chiffon): Do not wring or twist. For chiffon, be extra careful with jewelry and rough surfaces to avoid snags.
Drying: Lay the scarf flat on a clean towel, roll it up to press out excess water, then air dry flat away from direct sunlight.
Ironing: Iron on the reverse side only using a low-to-medium heat setting. Use a pressing cloth between the iron and the embroidery to protect the stitches.
Storage: Store folded in a cool, dry place rather than hanging to prevent the fabric from stretching.
