The Essential Tool for Tatreez
The right needle makes all the difference in hand embroidery. These Tapestry Needles are specifically designed for cross-stitch and Tatreez, featuring a blunt round point that glides effortlessly through the holes of Aida cloth without piercing or splitting the fabric fibres.
Featuring an elongated eye, they are easy to thread even with thicker yarns like Pearl Cotton Size 8. Whether you are a beginner or an expert, these needles ensure a smooth, frustration-free stitching experience, allowing you to focus on the rhythm and beauty of your pattern.

Type: Tapestry Needle
Size: No. 22 & No. 24 (The standard size for Pearl Cotton 8 on 14-count Aida).
Material: Nickel-plated Steel (Rust-resistant).
Smooth Finish: The polished steel surface ensures the needle passes through the fabric with minimal friction, reducing hand fatigue during long embroidery sessions.
Large Eye: To fit thick floss or pearl cotton.
Tip: Blunt / Rounded, which makes them ideal for working on fabrics like Aida cloth, linen, or even weave fabric.
The larger the number of tapestry needles the smaller the needle size. This should be considered when determining which needle to use for which count of Aida cloth/waste canvas.
A higher number needle (which is thinner) is recommended for higher count fabric.
Size 22 needle is recommended for 11-count Aida cloth.
Size 24 needle is recommended for 14-count Aida cloth
Storage: Keep needles in a dry place or on a magnetic needle minder when not in use to prevent rust.
Maintenance: If a needle becomes rough or tarnished over time, replace it immediately to avoid snagging your fabric.
