Join us for a warm, hands-on journey into the art of Palestinian Tatreez, where you will craft a beautiful, unique piece to take home. In this workshop, you will learn the fundamental techniques of traditional cross-stitch while exploring the deep cultural meanings behind iconic Palestinian motifs. Designed for all skill levels—with absolutely no prior experience needed—this session is a lovely space to slow down, create, and connect.

A special edition of our Palestinian Tatreez Gathering, organised in Haarlem in collaboration with ABC Stitch the Intifada & SJAKIE'S. This gathering is a warm, community-focused space to connect with the rich heritage of Palestinian Tatreez, share a traditional meal, and keep our living traditions thriving.

Welcome! Ghandarah is a one-person operation. I handle everything, from the graphic design and website build to the photography, finances, and sales, all in my spare time.
Because I’m running this with my own two hands (and a very busy heart), I ask for a little bit of your patience. If a photo looks a bit "homemade," a description has a typo, or a page has a glitch, just know it was created with 100% passion and 0% corporate polish.

Tatreez Taster Session

The Maker Market Rotterdam

Join us for a hands-on introduction to Tatreez, the traditional art of Palestinian embroidery. In this accessible, walk-in workshop, you will learn basic cross-stitch techniques to craft a heritage motif (such as an olive branch or cypress tree) into a wearable badge or keychain.

Drop by our table at OASE between 11:30 and 16:30 to reserve your spot. New sessions start every hour at half past (11:30, 12:30, 13:30, 14:30 & 15:30), giving you time to explore the market before you sit down to stitch your own piece of living heritage.

All materials are provided, including the tools, patterns, hardware to finish your piece, and a heritage card detailing the history of the stitched motif.
