Dinner & Tatreez Circle: Restyle Your Clothes | 22 July

Monthly Palestinian Gathering — July Edition

€42.00

Time: 18:00 – 21:30 (Dinner: 18:00 | Workshop: 19:00)

Step away from the city’s pace and join us for the June Edition of our monthly Palestinian Gathering: Restyle Your Clothes. Held every month, this gathering is a warm, community-focused space to connect with the rich heritage of Palestinian Tatreez, share a traditional meal, and keep our living traditions thriving.

July's Theme: Restyle Your Clothes with Tatreez

This month, we give our clothes a second life and a meaningful story. In this workshop, we move the art of Palestinian Tatreez from the hoop to your favourite garments. Whether it’s a denim jacket, a linen shirt, or a simple tote bag, you will learn how to transform everyday clothes into unique, hand-embroidered heritage pieces.

We will guide you through the techniques of stitching directly onto fabric, helping you choose the right motifs to complement your garment. Designed for all skill levels, from absolute beginners to seasoned stitchers, this session is a space to slow down, practice sustainable fashion, and connect through craft.

This workshop is your space to:

  • Practice Sustainable Style: Learn how to refresh and upcycle your existing wardrobe with beautiful, handmade details.

  • Master "Waste-Free" Art: Discover the techniques of stitching on different fabrics and garment types.

  • Explore the Motifs: Learn the history behind traditional Palestinian patterns and how they can be woven into modern fashion.

  • Create a Wearable Story: Walk away with a revitalised item of clothing that carries the beauty and identity of Tatreez wherever you go.

  • Connect in the Circle: Enjoy a relaxing afternoon sharing stories and skills in a warm, communal atmosphere.

  • Enjoy a Taste of Heritage: We’ll have a traditional Palestinian vegetarian dish, dessert, Arabic coffee, and tea ready for you to enjoy.
